Its June, so that generally means Morning Musume will be involved in a stage play. Kanon has been in two stage plays thus far, Stacey’s Girl’s Re-killing Theater and LILIUM Girl’s Purity Theater. However this year she is not in one.  Speaking of her previous stage plays, regarding Stacey’s, the story is about zombies and she remembers the play being very dark and that the expereince being strange for being younger at the time. With Lillium, the plot was about vampires. So first, she was a zombie, then she was a vampire. Therefore, she’s never been a human in a stage play. She’s not sure if the characters in Triangle, this year’s stage play, are human either, but she supposes they are. Kanon thinks its interesting to note that she has never been in a stage play as a human. She would like to, but of course she isn’t in the play this year, so perhaps next year. Again, Kanon explains that she’s doing her best with her diet, and wishes her fellow members performing the play to do their best as well.

This past May, the 28th to be exact, was Sayashi Riho’s 17th birthday! Kanon and Riho both entered Morning Musume as 12 year olds. They are both now at what is considered the lovely age of 17, and it feels strange that so much time has passed. Kanon reminisces about the shooting of Maji de Suka Ska!: she notices now that Riho was already in the center during the jacket shooting and how that has progressed to her still being the center today. Riho is probably constantly worried about her being the center; being the face of the group and having a lot of pressure to hold on to is certainly a lot to deal with, Kanon speculates. Although Riho’s public character is cooler, when Kanon looks at her, she still thinks “Riho is pretty cute, though!”. She doesn’t show it in public very often, but Riho will occasionally start messing around and will get carried away with the silliness. Kanon thinks it would be great for the fans to see this, although she isn’t sure if Riho’s goofiness will ever become visible to the public.

I My Me Maimi~ #374 (2015.08.28)

Suzuki Airi – Zansho Omimai Moushiagemasu

We start with general letters! This month’s theme is ‘It’s summer!‘ The first letter comes from Dance-san, who also requested the previous song.

School starts a week earlier in Hokkaido than it does on the main island, and Dance-san’s younger brothers are getting Dance-san’s help with their homework. Homework reminds Dance-san about their research project in primary school – a papier-mache creation. Following up from that, Dance-san asks Maimi if she still remembers her research projects, and if there were any projects done by her friends that caught her eye.

Maimi once made a papier-mache savings box, but she feels like she probably got a lot of assistance with making it, as she’s pretty bad with that sort of hand-crafting. Moving on to projects that caught her eye, one of her friends used ice-cream sticks to make a savings box in the shape of a house. The roof could be opened by a hinge, giving access to the stored money. The girl who did it was really artistic.

Maimi takes the opportunity to talk about another project done by the same girl. It’s difficult to explain without seeing it, but it involved using papier-mache bricks held together with a steel frame, and a good use of colours – reds and browns. Maimi enjoys looking at that friend’s artwork.

By the time of broadcast, the kids in Hokkaido have probably started schooling. For the Kanto region, school would generally start in September, so Maimi feels that there are likely to be a lot of kids currently rushing to finish their homework. Maimi gives them a friendly reminder to not stay up late, take care of their health, and wishes them good luck.

May brought the end of Morning Musume 15’s spring tour. For Kanon, many tours have ended with a member graduation. For example, Takahashi Ai and Michishige Sayumi both graduated at the end of a fall tour, and Niigaki Risa, Tanaka Reina, and Mitsui Aika all graduated in the spring. So, every time a tour end comes near, Kanon is reminded of those times. She looks back on the members last single and the work that they did together during that time; feeling a great sense of need to do her best to move on and push towards the future. Speaking of Mitsui Aika though, she recently returned from New Zealand, which Kanon is particularly excited about. She considers Aika to be one of her mentors and her return means Kanon can go out to eat with her again. She conclude the intro saying she’d like to show off a fresh new side of her for the end of the spring tour.

The first song is a request from a listener. They ask Kanon to play Kimagure Princess and ask who out of Morning Musume ‘15 is the most moody (kimagure). She quickly chooses Sato Masaki as the most moody.

K: Greetings once again, our faithful listeners. “The Dearly Departeds’ Disclosure Power Hour” is about to begin. I, the maid of this vacation home for now three years, Kirimoto, will be your host.

K: Thank you for the applause. Now let us begin. First up we have the first sacrifice of the game, the owner of the vacation home, Miss Arisa.
A: Hello everyone.

K: There was only one vote cast for you, Miss Arisa. For that vote, the survivors were given water as their relief item. Would you mind disclosing who you think voted for you?
A: Gladly. It was none other than him!
K: Quite the confidence you have there!
A: I realized it after listening to the last episode. To think he was seeing someone else behind my back. And with Natsu no less.
K: Huh? H-h-hold on there for a second. If I understand correctly, you’re saying the one who killed you was Yuuto-san.

May 7th was Masaki’s birthday, Happy Birthday! Masaki joined just 9 months after Kanon; at the time she was only 12 years old. Kanon was 13, so suddenly, she was no longer the youngest after a small period of time, which left her initially with a strange feeling. Masaki quickly became the younger sister member of the group which led to Kanon thinking that Masaki was a pretty cute kid. Recently, on the spring tour, during the filming for it Kanon noticed that Masaki was much more mature and cool. Because Masaki is more known for her character as being energetic and cute, the grown up Masaki surprised her. Kanon praises Masaki, saying she a genius when it comes to understanding songs and the like; it really motivates Kanon to do her best alongside Masaki in Morning Musume.

K: Kids, this way!

K: You’ll be safe here. Don’t move. I’ll be right back. I’m going to go check the surrounding area.

Right after I had shut the door…

That is how Miss Arisa and her friends got trapped in that room and were forced to take part in that horrendous game.

K: Greetings, our faithful listeners. It has been quite a while since last you heard of me, the maid of this vacation home, Kirimoto, has it not? I’d like to start this episode by having a little chat with the sacrifices of the game thus far. First up we have the owner of the vacation home, Miss Arisa!
A: To think that I of all people would be the first to die.
K: If we look at the vote data, we can see that only one vote was cast. The rest went unregistered. The survivors of that round were given water in exchange for your life.
A: Unbelievable really, the gall of the person to cast a vote for me. I mean, if it weren’t for me, they wouldn’t have even been able to step foot into such a gorgeous vacation home.
K: Quite true, but there are those who would inversely blame you. Had you not invited them, this whole ordeal would have never transpired, no?
A: Are you saying that’s why I was killed?

M: Arisa…
C: Who would do this?

N: Chiaki, was that your stomach?
C: Drinking all that water kinda made me hungry.
N: It’s good to see you still have an appetite.
C: You say that as if a normal person wouldn’t. But the more you think about how you don’t have food, the hungrier you’ll just make yourself.
T: We’ll probably get some food the next time one of us gets killed off.
N: Takeshi! Now’s not the time for that.
T: I’m just joking around.
N: Those aren’t the types of jokes you should be making. Especially not when it’s your friends’ lives on the line.
T: Yeah but, if we keep starving ourselves, we’ll all just end up dying anyways.
N: Are you saying you’re fine sacrificing your friends?
T: Natsu, I understand what you’re trying to say, but Arisa’s death benefited us. Now we have water and don’t need to worry about dying of thirst. Hell, weren’t you over there just a minute ago guzzling down that water?
C: Speaking of which, who voted for Arisa? We’re kind of forgetting that one of us just killed her, you know. Doesn’t that make them like, the perpetrator?
