We Are Juice=Juice (2019.03.05)

By | March 11, 2019

We’ve got a full house for Yanamin’s last appearance on this radio show! For the record, this is the first and last time that this 8 member line-up are all together on this radio show.

Miyazaki Yuka’s number one memory of Yanagawa Nanami: Taking lots of photos

Over these two years, Yukanya has been continuously taking photos of Yanamin. There are times when Yukanya asks for permission and there are times when she tries to take some sneak shots, but her attempts to do the latter are often noticed by Yanamin. When Yukanya looked back at her many pictures of Yanamin, Yanamin would be looking towards the camera, even in the ones that Yukanya had tried to take stealthily.

Miyazaki: Maybe she’s always on alert?

Yanagawa: I have a sensor that’s sensitive to Miyazaki-san. (laughs)

Regardless, Yukanya is happy that Yanamin always gives her a cute look. Eventually, things have gotten to the point where Yanamin instead asks Yukanya to take photos of her.

Takagi Sayuki’s number one memory of Yanagawa Nanami: Three hours on our way home

There was a point in time where Juice=Juice was really into the werewolf game. During a three-and-a-half hour trip back from Hokkaido, Yanamin pleaded for ‘Just one more game! One more game!‘ Back when they had just five members, they’d just do two or three rounds.  But the relentless assault of Yanamin’s cuteness led to them playing on and on the whole trip long. Yanamin’s really grateful that they put up with her selfish requests when they were likely exhausted after their live performances.

Tsugunaga Momoko no Puri Puri Princess ~Momochi Forever~ (2017.06.29)

By | September 9, 2017

This radio broadcast, aired the day before her graduation, marks Momochi’s last radio appearance. It’s been five years since the Puri Puri Princess broadcasts ended in 2012, after she had just turned twenty. If she includes the five years of Berryz Kobo’s radio show, Kiritsu! Rei! Chakuseki!, she’s been part of a regular radio show for 10 years – 40% of her life.

The show has received a huge stack of letters! The first one Momo reads out congratulates her on the return of Puri Puri Princess! By the way, what is she wearing right now?

That may have seemed to come out of nowhere, but back in the day, Momochi would describe what she was wearing, for the benefit of the listeners who would have had no way to see her. That slowly stopped happening, partly due to time constraints and also the lack of variety in her clothes. This time around, she’s fully equipped, wearing a pink dress.

Transitionary jingle: Hey Jiiya, where are the congratulatory flowers I got from Tom Cruise-san?

Morning Musume。 ’17 no Morning Jogakuin ~Houkago Meeting~ #257 (2017.03.11)

By | May 27, 2017

Oda-chan: What day is it today?
Iikubo: What day? Um, a normal day, heading into spring?
Oda-chan: Stop kidding around.
Fuku-chan: A day when spring makes an eager start?
Iikubo: Graduation season?

The bantering goes on for a while until Oda-chan reminds them that it’s her 18th birthday.

Iikubo: You’re still 18!?
Fuku-chan: You’re already 18!?
Iikubo: Don’t you have too much presence for an 18 year old? (laughs)
Oda-chan: You know, I’ve been called a thirty-six year old ever since I was fourteen.

Oda joined Morning when she was thirteen, so it’s been five years – quite some time.

Opening Question
A word to the 13ki, and if you want to push it, to Oda-chan.

Fuku-chan: You’re all unique, aren’t you?

Fuku-chan suspects that the fans are familiar with Oda-chan’s uniqueness. For Kaga-chan, Fuku-chan finds it difficult to respond to her words. And while Yokoyama-chan looks quiet, she’s actually pretty aggressive. And then there’s how the 13ki interact: things’ll start with Kaedy teasing Yokoyama-chan, and Yokoyama-chan will come back at Kaedy with just as much force.

Iikubo: It’s sometimes hard to get involved with you. Probably because of that uniqueness that Fuku-chan pointed out.

Iikubo doesn’t know how to respond to them sometimes as well. Iikubo recounted an incident with Kaga-chan where Kaga-chan asked for shounen manga and anime recommendations. However, whenever Iikubo suggested something, Kaga-chan would say that she was familiar with the recommendation. Unfortunately, Iikubo couldn’t figure out whether Kaga was familiar with them in that she had already gone watched or read the suggestions, or was just familiar with their names.

Oda-chan: 13ki really are like a married couple, aren’t they? As for myself, I should become more efficient, right?

Watching the relationship between Reina-chan and Kaedy from the very start, Oda-chan can only see them as a married couple. A slim girl with short hair paired with a short girl with medium-long hair – Oda-chan likes that. And when she looks back on their relationship, when Kaedy teases Reina-chan, Yokoyama will responds with something or the other. The way Kaedy follows up, it’s like she’s apologising for her wife. Oda-chan does like the Renady pair.

Fuku-chan: Renady… That sounds nice, Renady…
Iikubo: Renady, huh?
Oda-chan: Doesn’t it sound like some sort of legendary Pokemon? (laughs)
Fuku-chan: Like Celebi. (laughs)

Nakajima Saki no °C-ute na Jikan #249 (2016.10.22) (guests: Kanazawa Tomoko & Miyamoto Karin)

By | April 24, 2017

feb3dfc7ed872373409c10ec69d895cc[1]

Message from Iikubo from preceding MoJo: ‘Nakajima-san, we’ve always been talking about going to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, but since I went there the other day for a show, let’s think about somewhere else we can go.’

Nacky: Well, if it was for work, it can’t be helped. I wonder if she gave the otters a high five?

Their actual goal was to go to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise and give the otters a high five, so it’s still an option if Iikubo didn’t get to try that out. As for an alternative, Nacky enjoys Enoshima Aquarium, though it’s a bit out of the way.

Introductions done, Nacky introduces her guests for this week: Kanazawa Tomoko and Miyamoto Karin. Nacky chose the two of them to come on her show because of the following reason: During the summer Hello! Cons, Nacky was attempting to overcome her discomfort with kouhai by taking photos with them. KanaTomo and Karin-chan were among the members she didn’t manage to take photos with. Morning Musume。´16’s Ikuta Erina was another kouhai she missed taking a photo with as well.

Country Girls no Tadaima Radio Housouchuu!! #101 (2017.03.13)

By | March 26, 2017

Carrying over from the AS1422 that aired immediately prior to this show, Yanagawa Nanami answers Katsuta Rina’s question: Mention three good things about her Kenshuusei generation-mate, Kasahara Momona.

First: The huge contrast between Kasahara’s looks and when Yanamin talks with her. Despite looking more mature than Yanamin, Kassa’s actually two academic years lower. But when Yanamin speaks with her, she finds that Kasahara still has a kind of cute childishness to her.

Second: She’s strange. Her unique way of thinking impresses Yanamin sometimes.

Third: Her atmosphere. She brings out this warm, airy atmosphere that soothes those around her. Yanamin enjoys and treasures the times that she spends with Kassa.

Hello! Drive! #75 (2017.01.13)

By | February 4, 2017

It’s currently mid-winter in Japan, and it’s cold. As a countermeasure, Yanamin wears a muffler and gloves when she goes to school. One thing that both Momochi and Yanamin both enjoy during winter is the crunch of treading on frost columns.

As for Momochi, she finds it harder to get up in the mornings, thanks to the cold. Though she generally gets up around lunch time anyway. The cold makes Momochi and her bed inseparable.

Yanamin: That’s mutual love, isn’t it?

It’s flu season, so the girls as everyone to take care. On to the first song – Hitoto Yo’s ‘Morai Naki’, released in 2002, the year of Yanamin’s birth

Hello! Drive! #70 (2017.01.06)

By | January 16, 2017

Momochi-senpai opens the show with a happy 15th birthday to Yanamin! Yanamin has heard that the age of fifteen is when one starts hearing adulthood knock on the door. Going up another step on the ladder, she’d like to mature in how she thinks and in other aspects as well.

It’s actually Momochi’s first time to be paired with Yanamin on a radio show like this. Momochi hasn’t been on a recorded radio show with proper segments and a script for quite a while (as opposed to live radio shows), so she can’t stop shaking.

Momochi: So today, I’ll be entrusting Yanamin with everything. Good luck!

Yanamin: That’s… quite a lot of pressure.

Momochi: It’ll be fine! You’ve turned fifteen, after all.

Yanamin: I, Yanamin, fifteen years old, will do my best.

On to the first song! Performed by Mr. Children, one of Momo’s favourite bands, this song was a big hit in 1992, the year of Momochi’s birth.

Country Girls no Tadaima Radio Housouchuu!! #54 (2016.04.10)

By | December 18, 2016

The girls attempt to answer the question carried over from the ANGERME broadcast prior to theirs: Why does Ozeki have a cute character?

Ozeki: First things first, I’m not putting on a character!

She always has to repeat this – she isn’t acting out a character, she’s only speaking the truth. Unlike Momochi-senpai, who’s definitely hamming it up as part of a persona. Funakki smooths things over by pointing out that Ozeki’s cuteness is of a different type, more like a model.

Morito: Is that fine?

Ozeki: Whether or not it’s fine, I’m cute, so it can’t be helped.

April 10th is ‘Interior Design Contemplation Day’. Ozeki‘s parents bought her a cat-shaped clock, whose tail would sway as the seconds ticked away. She’d like to build up her collection of cat-related items and fill her room up with them. Chiitan has been thinking about interior design recently as she wants to get a sofa to go with her room. The girls quite enjoy looking at room set-ups, be it in print or when they’re out shopping.

April is a month traditionally linked with new starts, be it the beginning of the academic year or the entry of new hires. The girls tackle the age-old question of how to make friends in a new environment. What Ozeki did last year was to start interacting with others when seats were being assigned. She doesn’t feel like she put in much effort to make the first step – instead, people would come and talk to her.

For shy Chiitan, it’s a huge problem. She remembers when she first entered middle school, and the person seated behind her came from a different primary school. When she had to pass along handouts, she couldn’t even look that person in the eye. But they eventually got to talking due to the close proximity, and they ended up becoming good friends. So maybe seating arrangements do play a big role.

Funakki is often said to be shy, but she wasn’t like that during primary school. She’d be the one going around, asking everyone to be her friend. One day, she tried it on a transfer student. The transfer student gave it five seconds thought before replying ‘Impossible‘. And ever since then, Funakki stopped proactively making the first move in befriending people. The nerves got to her.

That isn’t exactly the right attitude for making friends…
