Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #14 (2015.04.05)

Maria is in charge today, with Nonaka as her support. Immediately, she starts talking about her nerves. In two days… on the 7th, Maria is supposed to throw the first pitch at Tokyo Dome for her beloved Hokkaido Ham Fighters.

Nonaka: Congratulations! Yay!!!
Nonaka: …What is a ‘first pitch’ anyway?
Maria: Nonaka-chan… you said ‘Congratulations’ (laughs) but you don’t even know what it is?

Maria gives Nonaka the Japanese for it (しきゅしき – shikyushiki) as before she was using the Waseigo for it (ファーストピッチ – Faasto Picchi) which helps Nonaka’s understanding a little bit, but in the end Maria explains that it means she gets to throw the ball to the player.

The reason why Maria is nervous is..

Maria: When I tried to do it previously… I could only go about 14 meters.
Nonaka: Don’t worry I can only do it for 6 meters.
Maria: Ahhh, what am I going to do?
Nonaka: How many meters do you need to get it?
Maria: …18 meters…
Nonaka: So 4 more meters? That’s rather a lot isn’t it?
Maria: It is….

Maria has no idea if she can do it or not and is panicking about it. She hasn’t been able to practice at all. She’s just had no place to. Nonaka suggests that Maria practice inside her house, but Maria insists that the walls are in the way.

Nonaka: …Good luck!

Well, at least she threw it all the way over there, even if it was a bit off.

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #9 (2015.03.01)

Nonaka Miki and Haga Akane are here for our enjoyment today. As they get ready to start, we get an echo from the Maria/Ogata pairing where they admit that, other than small talk, they don’t really talk at all.

In honor of the fact that they’re finally going to be talking together, Nonaka, who is in charge today, would like to examine their relationship and how they seem to each other.

Nonaka: For me…. Haga-chan is..
Akane: Eh! ‘Haga’-chan?
Nonaka: (laughs)
Akane: I think this is the first time I’ve heard you call me that.
Nonaka: Ah.. yeah… usually it’s Akane-chan.. but anyway..

What Nonaka wants to highlight, is that she loves the way Akane reacts to things. She always reacts loud and dramatically. For example, when she’ll accidently hurt herself, she won’t just say ‘ouch’ normally, she has to call out loudly “OUUUUUCH!!!” So at first, when they had all just met, whenever that had happened the rest of 12th Generation got really worried, asking if she was all right. But now… they don’t react at all to it.

Akane: It’s like I’m talking to myself…
Akane: Well… actually, I do talk to myself a lot, so sometimes when I’m really trying to talk to people, they won’t answer me.

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #8 (2015.02.22)

Surprisingly, it’s Maria and Ogata again gracing our ears, with Ogata moving on to her third round of hosting. Ogata already has plans about what she wants her and Maria to talk about and she states it right away. She wants to talk about their current obsessions. Maria’s immediate response is that Ogata’s become notorious for always having a different obsession every day

Song: Morning Musume – Help Me!!

Ogata states her game plan again, and Maria begins her answer. Apparently, despite teasing Ogata about it just a moment ago, her obsessions change often as well. Since she was young however, she’s mostly been fixed on two things: visiting Disney World and baseball.

As Maria wraps up, Ogata realizes that there has been a bit of a 12th Gen-wide granola obsession going around. Apparently, when one person in 12th Gen get’s obsessed with something, they talk about it a lot and try to get the others to like it as well. As mentioned by Maria, Ogata’s current obsession is always changing, and she’s always posting about them on her blogs. That all aside however, right now, at this moment, she’s super into Pumpkin Soup.

Her mom had been making it a lot lately, and it was so good that Ogata started to want to eat it everyday. Of course if she continued to eat it everyday she’d certainly get fat, so she should tell her mom to stop making it, but she’s just so in love with it right now, it’s just so delicious.

Ogata: Do you like pumpkins, Maria-chan?
Maria: Ah, I somewhat like them.
Ogata: I see, somewhat.
Maria: …So next time let me have some as well-
Ogata: Not a chance.

She seems cute and innocent now… until you try and eat her pumpkin soup!

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #7 (2015.02.15) (Surprise Guest)

Finally, mixing things up, they have split up the younger and older pairs. Maria is in charge this week, with Ogata as support.

Of course, as Ogata mentions they don’t actually have really anything in common, but they will try their hardest today.

Maria starts us off by mentioning that something really awesome happened to her and Ogata recently. Ogata takes over from here and explains that Ikuta-san and Fukumura-san have invited the two of them to go to Disney Sea with them. Why exactly Ikuta and Fukumura invited her and Maria, and only the two of them, she’s not sure… to make it worse they also haven’t exactly told Nonaka or Akane about it yet.

Ogata apparently can’t help but blurt out things like “Ahh! I’m so happy!” and “I wonder what kind of rides are at Disney Sea”. While Maria accidently exclaimed “Ah! I’m so excited!” one time and when Akane took interest, asking her what she was excited about Maria had to play it cool and replied with “Ahhh… nothing~”

Ogata: That sounds so suspicious (laughs).

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #6 (2015.02.08)

Haa-Chel once again graces our ears, with Nonaka leading the way. They vow to be even more energetic than last time, to be more pumped up than anyone else!

Song: Morning Musume ’14 – Egao no Kimi wa Taiyou sa

Lately, it seems like a lot of things have been happening to the 12th Generation. It’s already been three months since 12th Generation was announced, neither of them can believe it. Time has just flown.

Ogata brings up the fact that there are a lot of things that 12th Gen do differently from each other. Specifically, she is thinking of a situation where they had had a choice between using an escalator or an elevator to go down. Of course, they had agreed that the best choice would have probably been for all four of them to ride the elevator together, but when it came down to it, it turned out that the four of them couldn’t ride at the same time. Thus, Ogata and Akane rode the elevator, Maria used the escalator and Nonaka… Ogata can’t actually think of what Nonaka did.

Nonaka takes over and says that on the specific day Ogata is thinking of, Nonaka had suddenly noticed that everyone was gone and… well.. she had taken the stairs down.

Another example is that they’ll all use different ways to get places that they need to all go to. Because they use different methods, they often get to their destination at different times. Actually… everything about how they get to the same place is different.

Ogata: And because the two of us are “commoners”
Nonaka: Ah, yes.
Ogata: We usually go by train.

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #5 (2015.02.01)

Today we have the return of Nonaka and Ogata, who vow to bring some energy to the radio show. They are of course excited to be doing the show together, as Nonaka and Ogata apparently hang out a lot. They are known as Haa-Chel (from their nicknames Haa-chin and Chel(sea)). Akane has even mentioned that there is a lot of Haa-Chel appearing on their blogs lately. Since they are close in age, they get along really well and often get really excited around each other.

Ogata then reminds everyone that tomorrow (2/2) is Maria’s birthday. Happy Birthday Maria! She is now officially only one year younger than the older girls. Of course, when they actually think about it… lthough Maria is technically one year younger, she always seems to be the older one.

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #4 (2015.01.25)

Once again the show is hosted just by Akane and Maria, this time of course, however, Akane is now in charge, finally getting her turn.

Like the last few shows, they open the show asking about whether or not they are nervous. Maria also makes the statement (an echo from last show) that she has always been struck at how adult-like Akane is despite being the youngest.

Akane decides to bring up the fact that they are currently enjoying their first Hello! Project concert tour as a part of Morning Musume ’15. Maria mentions that it’s very different from when they were in the Kenshuusei. In the Kenshuusei they never held any microphones and they were always together when they did sing. So holding a mic now, not dancing in the back behind everyone and getting to wear cute costumes, it makes her really happy.

Akane’s anecdote starts by her talking about her hair, saying that when she joined Morning Musume she slightly changed the way she styled it. At one concert when she was having trouble with it, Hagiwara-san(Mai) came up behind her and helped her with it.

Maria interrupts her then to proclaim her love for Hagiwara Mai, launching into her own Hagi-story. When Maria was still in the Kenshuusei she went on tour with C-ute. While on that tour she noticed that Hagiwara used a really nice smelling perfurme and Maria fell in love with it and really wanted it. She asked Hagiwara what it was called and then Maria’s Mom bought it for her. Now Maria uses it all the time, except when she’s at school of course. During the first Hello! Project Concert, during a song where everyone was singing together, Maria was dancing next to Hagiwara and had used a lot of the perfume that day, so Hagiwara noticed it. Hagiwara got really excited when she realized it was the perfume she had told Maria about and asked if they could take a photo together after the day’s concert was finished. Maria also reports that Hagiwara blogged about it afterwards as well. Even though Hagiwara doesn’t use it anymore she was happy.

The blog entry consists of Mai squealing over how Maria is just way too cute.

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #3 (2015.01.18)

This time around, only two of our four 12th Generation girls are MCing: Haga Akane and Makino Maria.

Of the two of them however, as promised, Maria is the one in charge. Maria asks Akane if she thinks they’ll be all right with just the two of them. Akane replies that they’ll try their best at least.

Song: Morning Musume ’14- Tiki Bun

Maria once again announces them and then pauses to say she still sounds really stiff.

Akane replies that it’s only Maria’s third time saying it and she’s probably just nervous.

Next, Maria brings up that a while back 12th Generation went out to Yakiniku with all of the Morning Musume ’15 girls, sans Suzuki Kanon who couldn’t come. She asks Akane how it was.

Akane says that she had a lot of fun, because it was the first time they were able to talk to everyone a lot. Maria agrees, but then mentions that their senpai kept asking them so many questions. The question that was especially hard to answer was:

“After getting to know everyone, which one of their Senpai seemed the most different than they expected?”
