♪ Buono! – FEVER ♪

Momoko announces that October 4th is ‘Toho no Hi’, with ‘Toho’ meaning ‘Walking on foot’. It comes from the fact that you can read the 10 from October as ‘To’, and when you combine it with ‘four’ you get:

Momoko agrees that ‘Toffour’ is quite a stretch from ‘Toho’. She then asks the others if they’ve been walking recently. Miyabi and Airi both say that they often do go on foot, which incites Momoko to ask ‘How many kilometres, how many metres, and how many centimetres?’ Airi comes back with, ‘You even want the centimetres? Like one step will be 24 cm?’

Miyabi mentions that she walks every day, and that she doesn’t really do things like ride taxis. Momoko hesitantly says that she took a walk recently. She tried walking to the station when she had free time, but found it tough. For Airi, she goes to work by train when her mother can’t send her by car, but she always gets confused about which station to head to. Looking it up on her mobile phone map doesn’t help either.

Momoko: But walking really is something important.
Miyabi: It really is important.
Airi: Toffour~
Momoko & Miyabi: Toffour.

According to Miyabi, it’s good to walk if you have the time, as it lets you relax while watching the scenery. Airi adds that it’s good to do early in the morning – though you’d have to wake up. Momoko, however, says that she can’t get up, and makes a comment about running.

Momoko: Doesn’t running makes your sides sore?…… Doesn’t it? Eh, it doesn’t?
Miyabi: Eh, does it? Doesn’t it just mean you’ve eaten too much rice?
Airi: Maybe when you’re seriously running?

Momoko wraps up by mentioning that walking on foot is good for health and dieting, so overall, walking is good for you.

♪ Buono! – Rock no Kami-sama ♪

Momoko announces that September 27th is female driver’s day, commemorating the day that a driving licence was first conferred to a woman. Airi’s amazed that even these sorts of incidents get commemorated.

Looking for a topic, Momoko suggests they discuss good driving music. Miyabi notes that a lot of Buono!’s music fits that bill. On the topic of driving, Miyabi suggests that if or when one of them gets a driving licence, the three of them should go around to places like Asakusa or Shounan for food-tasting trips.

Momoko then turns around her original suggestion on its head and asks about songs that shouldn’t be listened to while driving – like relaxing music that could make you fall asleep. She even saw a video on YouTube warning the viewer not to listen to the audio while driving. Airi, notorious for easily falling asleep, remarks that she probably shouldn’t listen to those kind of things at all.

Momoko: But recently I’ve been listening to such sounds when I fall asleep. Listening to sounds that cleanse the soul, like the crash of waves. That’s how I’ve been falling asleep recently.

Miyabi: That’s amazing.

Airi: Eh~ Such a blissful person.

Momoko: Or like the sounds of the forest.

Airi: Like the rustling leaves, going ‘zawa zawa‘?

Momoko: The leaves going ‘zawa zawa‘, and birds chirping ‘piyo piyo piyo‘

Coming back to the topic, Momoko says that if they can’t listen to such relaxing sounds, then they should listen to Buono! Airi points out that ‘Take It Easy’ goes well with the summer. The others agree, with Miyabi detailing the set-up – windows down, the wind blowing past. They recommend it as a summer song, even though it’s already autumn.

♪ Buono! – Mirai Drive ♪

Momoko announces that September 20th is ‘Sora no Hi’, literally ‘Sky Day’, or alternatively, ‘Aviation Day’. It’s in commemoration of the first flight over the skies of Tokyo, made in a blimp developed by Yamada Isaburo.

Momoko starts putting on airs, going ‘Ah, that Yamada-san’, acting like she’s familiar with the name. The other two join her in hamming it up, praising this Yamada-san, though it’s not that showy Yamada. Airi then slips up while trying to make a My Neighbours the Yamadas reference.

Momoko (teasingly): Thank you very much for that one slip-up today.

The discussion starts with Momoko pointing out that they often ride aeroplanes due to their line of work, so she’d like to know if the others are good or bad with flights.

Momoko: I’m bad with them.

Miyabi: I’m bad with them too.

Airi: I’m okay.

Airi asks Momoko to explain what she means by being ‘good with flights’. Momoko asks Airi if she finds the rumbling of the plane scary, but Airi finds it enjoyable. Airi shares a story of her sitting in the seat closest to the emergency exit, with the seat for cabin attendants right in front of her.  While she was sitting there, she was handed a piece of paper informing her that in case of an emergency, she should assist others in leaving the plane, and that she would be last person to leave the plane.

Airi: I thought I would die.

Being in that situation, she paid a lot more attention to the flight safety explanation, double checking everything and seriously reading the safety pamphlet. Momoko suggests that people who sit in those seats must feel a great sense of responsibility.

Momoko finds that she can’t handle it when the pressure drops, finding it painful.

Momoko: It hurts – but you know, then I think about wanting to meet the fans as soon as possible.

Airi: Hmmmnnnhhh~

Momoko: …

Miyabi: *muffled giggling*

Momoko: Thank you very much for the second slip-up.

♪ Buono! – Runaway Train ♪

Momoko announces that September 13th – or more generally, the second Saturday of September – is family karaoke day. None of the girls have gone for karaoke with their family recently, but Momoko admits that she generally goes alone. The others find it kind of sad that she goes alone, but Momoko shrugs it off and says that she finds it perfectly fine. Furthermore, she can go at it for about two and a half hours, usually finding time when she has gaps to fill in her work schedule. Though it does make her a bit hoarse at the jobs she has later.

However, she does have a complaint.  Once, when she was paying, she heard the guy at the reception whisper something on the lines of, ‘Look at this girl, going for karaoke all alone’, which irritated her.

Miyabi: Wouldn’t it be tough if you get exposed? It’ll be like, ‘Eh Momochi, don’t you have any friends?’

Momoko: It does suit my image (the girls laugh), but that would definitely suck.

Airi: Yeah, that’s… kinda sad.

Momoko: And so, I put on a mask, face downwards, I rub my eyes like they itch, until my face is completely unrecognisable, then I go.

Airi: You go to that extent and you still want to go?

Momoko explains it’s easy when she enters, since she can act like she’s waiting for her friends. It’s when she leaves that she has to put on a disguise, and go like ‘(cough) My eyes itch because of hay fever’ as she leaves the karaoke store.

Although she can’t go for karaoke alone, Airi states that she’s fine with going for gyuudon alone. Momoko and Miyabi are still amazed by this revelation. Miyabi starts getting grilled about places she can’t go alone to. While she can’t imagine going to movies or for yakiniku by herself, she’s all right with large chain restaurants.

Going back to solo karaoke, Airi still imagines that it would be tough when you had to go to the reception desk.

Momoko: Well, today may be family karaoke day, but I definitely recommend going for karaoke by yourself.

Miyabi: No way, I recommend going with family.

Momoko: Okay then, with your family. So that you won’t thought of as a loner.

♪ Buono! – Lady Panther ♪

Momoko announces that the 6th of September is ‘Younger sister day’. Airi asks for clarification, and Momoko explains that it’s the eve of the midpoint of the astrological sign Virgo, the maiden. The girls agree that it’s a complicated definition, and Airi tries to work it out – ‘so tomorrow it’ll be the day that Virgo is at its midpoint?’ and Momoko responds in the affirmative. Airi ponders about the younger sister = maiden relationship, and then mentions that she’d like to set up an ‘Older sister day’. Momoko suspects that one already exists.

Airi then points out that all the Buono! members are older sisters. Elder sisters to a younger brother, in fact. Momoko asks if they’d ever thought it would be nice to have younger sisters, and the others both admit that they’d thought about it before. Miyabi says that it’s something she’s been thinking about recently, while Airi mentions that she occasionally thinks about how nice it would be to have a female sibling, and be able to wear matching outfits. Momoko agrees that you can’t really share things with a brother.

Momoko also admits that she’d like a younger sister – one who could stand in class and boast about her amazing sister. Airi wonders where that statement came from, and Momoko explains that her younger brother speaks ill about her. Their relationship is good, but how he acts at home is completely different from how he acts outside. She recounts a tale of when they were at the supermarket recently and he called her to come over quickly, she replied with a popular quote from the movie Frozen, ‘I got it~’. This resulted in her getting a complete scolding from him because he was embarrassed. The sternness of her brother surprised the others.

Momoko: My brother does it every time, and being told off like that makes this older sister kind of sad.

♪ Buono! – Blue Sky Blue ♪

Momoko announces that the 30th of August is Happy Sunshine Day, a day for people whose bright smiles are like the sun. She suggests that people who fit that description can think of it as their birthday. Airi points out that it might reduce the excitement for people celebrating their birthday on the day. Momoko counters that it wouldn’t be the case, and that the people celebrating their birthdays would be twice as happy.

Momoko asks the others whether they’d been smiling recently, from the bottom of their hearts. Airi point out that Momoko’s statement sounds like something from out of a commercial. Momoko runs through it again.

Momoko: Have you, recently…

Momoko & Airi: Been smiling from the bottom of your heart? (laughs)

The girls agree they have. Miyabi says that she laughs once a day.

Momoko: Hey, you can laugh more than that! (laughs) Once a day is like just going ‘ha ha ha’.

Miyabi: ‘Ha ha ha’.

Airi: That’s like three laughs.

Miyabi admits that it does make it sound like she leads a sad life. Momoko points out that smiles and laughter have an amazing power, where even just seeing a display of them triggers an energy boost.

In order for the programme to make lots of people smile, Momoko warns the others to take care of their pronunciation this time around. That they can’t just hope to tide it through by being excited. The other two agree excitedly without abandon, clearly disregarding Momoko’s prior warning. Momoko apologises on their behalf, and begs for the listener’s kindness. The other two follow suit.

♪ Buono! – Warp ♪

The show starts off with Momoko highlighting that Buono! subleader Miyabi would be celebrating her 22nd birthday in two days, or after about 30 hours.

Momoko asks Miyabi how she currently feels about turning 22. Miyabi replies that she doesn’t think she’ll change upon turning 22, drawing a gasp from Momoko. Momoko insists that a person can change, even with 30 hours.

Miyabi: Well, at any rate, I’ve been forgetting to put on lotion after getting out from the bath. So when I turn 22, I’d like to make sure to apply body lotion.

Momoko: That’s important.

Miyabi: Since as you get older, your wrinkles increase.

Airi: This topic is getting pretty sad. (laughter from the others)

They continue to talk about the benefits of skincare. Airi cautions that cheap body lotions could ruin the skin.

Miyabi sums up by concluding that 22 is a good age. Momoko says that Miyabi can no longer call herself a child, while Airi says that she’s ranked up. Miyabi says that she’d like to improve on her feminine charms.

Momoko: So please keep your eyes on the condition of the 22 year old Miya’s skin.

Miyabi: Okay, I’ll be careful about acne.
