The signs of winter are starting to show. Chii asks Kumai-san what to her signifies the beginning of winter. To Kumai-san, it’d be when she starts wearing sweaters, and as it so happens, both of the hosts are doing just that today. Plus, she also feels that way when seeing the lineups at clothing stores starting to include things like mufflers and outer wear.

For Chii, it’s when the city starts to look grey: everyone switches from their brightly-colored summertime clothes to grey, black or white. This is why she prefers the summer. Still, as she points out, it’s not all bad: there’s Christmas, New Year’s, illuminations, otoshidama and New Year foods.

The two talk about the preparations they take for winter which among other things include buying lots and lots of HEATTECH products. This, the both of them say, is something absolutely necessary for winter. Kumai-san is still trying to get by without using them, but Chii has already given in to the temptation. There are also HEATTECH tights out there, and Kumai-san says that if she’s wearing them it simply doesn’t matter how cold it gets outside.

Morning Musume ’15 12ki Nikki! #1 (2015.01.04)

Ogata wishes everyone a happy New Year and the four hosts introduce themselves. Makino explains that starting this week, this show will be taking over from Sayashi’s RIHO-DELI. Nonaka states the title of the show once more and Ogata lets out a shy “yaaay!” that the other three aren’t eager to join in on.

Makino had many other ideas for the title of the show as well — her suggestions included “Otsukarechan Sunday” and “12ki Land” — but she, too, ended up going with “12ki Nikki!” There was actually a vote as to which title each member liked the best, and everyone aside from Nonaka liked “12ki Nikki!” Her suggestion was “Jiyuu ni 12ki,” but when it was time for the vote, no one aside from her raised their hand for it. “That made me feel so empty inside,” Nonaka says.

Since it’s the first episode of the show, the members take turns in properly introducing themselves once more and saying what they all think of their fellow generation mates.

The other three all agree that Nonaka is the member in charge of owarai comedy — but only in introducing them to new comedy acts, not doing comedy herself. She knows all kinds of lesser known comedy routines which she loves sharing with the others. Ogata reports receiving links to owarai videos that Nonaka wants her to watch, and Nonaka says she does this to all three of them: she’ll send them video links without any sort of message to explain what it is — she simply expects everyone to watch them. Ogata is quick to announce that she hasn’t watched any of the videos sent to her.

Trattoria Buono! #91 (2014.12.27)

Momoko announces that this is the last episode of Trattoria Buono! for the year. Looking back over the year, a lot of things happened on the radio show. They feel that the appearance of Baron-san on the radio show was the biggest thing that happened. Getting to interact with him was something they hadn’t expected. They praise his dulcet tones, and Airi wishes that he’d pop by again.

Momoko also remarks that Airi-sensei hasn’t been appearing recently. A bit of explaining may be in order. As you may know, one segment of the Trattoria Buono! shows is an advice corner. In the past, Airi would disappear somewhere, while Momoko and Miyabi would mull over the given question for a while. They would then summon Airi-sensei, a ‘character’ played by Airi. According to Miyabi, Airi wears black spectacles when in the Airi-sensei role. Airi-sensei would give her frank opinions on the problem at hand, in a somewhat airy-fairy manner. In mid-2014, both Airi-sensei and Airi ‘met’ one another in the advice corner, and from then, Airi-sensei slowly stopped making appearances.

Coming back to the radio show, Momoko recalls that up to the first half of the year, Airi-sensei would often pop by and given her frank opinions on the various situations they received from listeners. Airi suggests that they should try contacting Airi-sensei, and asks if the others remember when both her and Airi-sensei appeared at the same time. Airi herself personally enjoyed that encounter. Her schedule and Airi-sensei’s hardly ever match, so Airi enjoys the occasional chance they get to meet. Miyabi and Airi start going back and forth about contacting Airi-sensei, until Momoko tells them to stop with the farce, and commences with wrapping up the opening segment.
