Trattoria Buono! #73 (2014.08.23)

BuonoCiberPr[1]

♪ Buono! – Warp ♪

The show starts off with Momoko highlighting that Buono! subleader Miyabi would be celebrating her 22nd birthday in two days, or after about 30 hours.

Momoko asks Miyabi how she currently feels about turning 22. Miyabi replies that she doesn’t think she’ll change upon turning 22, drawing a gasp from Momoko. Momoko insists that a person can change, even with 30 hours.

Miyabi: Well, at any rate, I’ve been forgetting to put on lotion after getting out from the bath. So when I turn 22, I’d like to make sure to apply body lotion.

Momoko: That’s important.

Miyabi: Since as you get older, your wrinkles increase.

Airi: This topic is getting pretty sad. (laughter from the others)

They continue to talk about the benefits of skincare. Airi cautions that cheap body lotions could ruin the skin.

Miyabi sums up by concluding that 22 is a good age. Momoko says that Miyabi can no longer call herself a child, while Airi says that she’s ranked up. Miyabi says that she’d like to improve on her feminine charms.

Momoko: So please keep your eyes on the condition of the 22 year old Miya’s skin.

Miyabi: Okay, I’ll be careful about acne.

Mango

The opening word this time is mango. Sayubee explains. She says that at the Hello!Cons at Nakano Sun Plaza the catering menu included shaved ice with a variety of flavors, including mango, which was especially good. In her blog, Kanazawa Tomoko wrote that Sayubee had gotten shaved ice with lemon, but Sayubee wants us all to know that that was not the case; she did not get lemon, she got mango.

blog, Kanazawa Tomoko, Takagi Sayuki-483067It’s not lemon, it’s mango, and this is apparently very important to know.

Special Guest Fukuda Kanon

blog, Fukuda Kanon, Tamura Meimi-485773

Kanyon is the special guest for the last S/mileage Station in August. She immediately starts of the show commenting on how amazing Meimi’s radio voice and asks her if she wants to be an announcer in the future. Meimi says that might be nice, but really she’s just trying to do her job. She knows she only got this job because she’s an idol but she thinks there might still be people listening who expect a more professional radio program, so she puts on a more professional, radio-esque voice for the sake of the show.

Meimi: But really, Fukuda-san is awesome is so many more ways.
Kanyon: For example?

Meimi likes the way Kanyon experiments with makeup and hair, but especially her singing. She says that Kanyon is very stable and she can sing things that Meimi doesn’t think she can. They have a lot of the same parts in songs, too, but Kanyon seems much more skillful in knowing how long to hold notes and memorizing the variances between sections of a song. Meimi reports that she has had directors and vocal coaches tell her to listen to Kanyon more for better practice. Meimi asks her how she listens to the songs that makes her remember them so much better.

Kanyon: I simply like S/mileage’s music, is all. I listen to it all the time, but I think there are a lot of people who don’t listen to their own songs.
Meimi: Ah, yeah, I don’t listen to our stuff at all.
Kanyon: But if you listen to yourself, it really hits home that you’re an idol.
Meimi: Don’t you hate listening to your own singing, though?
Kanyon: Not at all, because I like my own singing the best.

Kanyon clarifies, because Meimi seems a little confused, that it’s not about enjoying the sound of her own voice or pushing herself forward; it’s about getting familiar with her own singing and getting used to the flow of the song and how she sang it for the recording. Meimi asks if she is then comfortable listening to herself on this radio show, and Kanyon says yeah, sure.

“It’s hot!” Sayashi reminds everyone to take care of themselves in this heat.

Song: °C-ute “Kanashiki Heaven” (Single Version)

Continuing her talk about Michishige-san last week, Sayashi says that she gets nervous when talking to her. She says the other members get nervous as well. On the other hand, there’s Katsuta Rina, aka Rinapu, who gets along really well with Michishige-san. Sayashi thinks that Rinapu is the kind of person who can get along well with anyone. Sayashi herself doesn’t often initiate conversations with members of the other HP groups, but Rinapu comes and talks to her. She says they’re close and that they often talk to each other.

What amazes Sayashi is that Rinapu is able to interact with Michishige-san in the same way that she does with Sayashi and the other juniors. What’s more, at a recent HP concert, when Morning Musume ’14 and Smileage were in the same dressing room, Rinapu came up behind Michishige-san, who was doing her makeup at the time, covered her eyes, and said, “Guess who~!” Sayashi couldn’t believe what she had just seen. To Sayashi, that is something that she could never ever do in her life. And yet Rinapu just went and did it. Sayashi says she was both surprised and very envious that Rinapu can act so casually with Michishige-san despite not being in the same group.

Deli-kun: How did Michishige-san react?
Sayashi: She was like, “Rinapu~! Stop it~!” They looked like they were having so much fun. I couldn’t help but be envious.

Sayashi says she also gets envious whenever she sees other MM members having fun talking to Michishige-san and that Michishige-san probably thinks they’re cute. However, Sayashi finds it hard to be forthcoming and initiate conversations with her. Deli-kun points out that Michishige-san will probably be happy if she does it, just like how Sayashi is happy when Rinapu comes up to talk to her.

Deli-kun: Do it! This is a mission to play “Guess who” with Michishige-san.
Sayashi: “Guess who”…That…I won’t do yet.
Deli-kun: You won’t?
Sayashi: *in a soft voice* I…I won’t.

Nakajima Saki no °C-ute na Jikan #137 (2014.08.16)

Answering Oda Sakura’s question from Morning Jogakuin #124 as to whether she’d ever like to sing Tanpopo’s “I & YOU & I & YOU & I,” Nacky says she thinks it’s a really cute song and remembers someone once singing it at a Hello!Con and thinking she wanted to sing it, too. She thanks Oda for wanting her to sing such a cute song, and recommends that anyone who doesn’t know it checks it out.

Nacky notes that there is now less than a month to go until the upcoming °C-ute & Berryz Koubou Budokan concerts. Nacky says she’s happy just to be able to stand on the stage of Budokan again, but the fact that Berryz is going up there with them makes it even better. Thinking back to last year when °C-ute was a guest at Berryz’ Budokan concert, she really had a feeling of close friendship between the two groups when they sang “Ganbacchae!” together. Even now, well over ten years since they joined Hello! Project, she says that she still doesn’t talk to the members of Berryz much because of her timid nature. But even so, they all feel like big sisters to her — even if Sugaya Risako is younger than her. She says she really felt the importance of friends at Budokan last year.

As for this year’s Budokan, Nacky thinks she might become even more emotional, especially with Berryz’ upcoming hiatus. That’s her only concern about the upcoming performances: she might end up crying her eyes off on stage. She says she’s going to do her best to make it a truly memorable concert.

New Songs

The opening phrase is new songs, because Juice=Juice are releasing a new single on October 1! The new songs are entitled Senobi and Date ja nai yo, Uchi no Jinsei wa. Hooray!

Fan Letters

Fan Letter #1: This letter is from Black Fried Shrimp. They’re writing to say that they went to the Juice=Juice live in Fukuoka. Everyone was excited to see the group in person and they especially enjoyed all the songs they performed. It made them think that they have to see another Juice=Juice show. They say that they love the radio show, too, and hope that they’ll keep having fun with it. Karin mentions that she messed up during one of the songs at the Fukuoka show. She says that it’s a little difficult to see in the live houses and she accidentally moved to the wrong position during a song. It happened to be the position Sayubee was supposed to be in, and it resulted in some confusion

Karin: I could see her glaring behind me.
Sayubee: I didn’t know what to do. If you make a mistake you make a mistake, but then it was just going to turn into more mistakes no matter what I did! I was sweating it out.
Uemu: I just watched from the back.

Color Chalk

Every We are Juice=Juice begins and ends with a word. The opening word this time is color chalk, because all of the members of Juice=Juice have gotten some color chalk. It’s used to add very bright but very temporary color to hair, so the members each got their own fruit color to use. Sayubee got red and white in addition to yellow. They want to go out sometime with all of their colors in.

Fan Letter

This letter comes from Iwate Apple Cheeks. They recently entered the raffle for a Juice=Juice signed poster and won! They were really excited when they heard, but after waiting so long for it to arrive they were a little bummed. Then, when they opened it, they realized that they had completely forgotten it was signed. They’re going to get it framed and can’t wait to put it up on the wall because they feel happy just looking at how cute everyone is. They look forward to seeing Juice=Juice in person. The members congratulate them on winning and thank them for listening to their radio show through Radico’s radio streaming service. Karin also reminds us that Juice=Juice will be performing in Iwate on their News=News tour in Morioka.

Song: Juice=Juice – Black Butterfly

Karin asks Sayubee to tell the listeners what to pay attention to in Black Butterfly, since they’ve been performing it at Hello!Cons and on their individual tour. Sayubee says that everyone is wearing matching costumes for this song, all in black and with butterflies, which she personally likes, and that the dance is rather sensual and has various parts that she wants everyone to try doing along to the song, as well.

Morning Musume ’14 no Morning Jogakuin ~Houkago Meeting~ #124 (2014.08.16)

jogakuin

Suzuki, Oda and Kudo talk about their Hawaii tour that’s next week. For Oda, it’ll be the first time she’s ever been overseas in her life. She’s been told that Hawaii is basically the same as Japan as you can get by with just Japanese, but Kudo says that it still takes some time to get used to the different currency as well as everything, especially food portions, being bigger. Speaking of the different value of things there, Kudo tells a story about how last time when she was in Hawaii, she found a pair of black Converse sneakers she’d been wanting for sale at $19. She thought that was still a bit steep, but when she came back and looked it up, the cheapest pair she could find for sale in Japan was $40.

The three name the H!P members they’re most interested in as of late: Inaba Manaka (Oda), Takeuchi Akari (Suzuki) and Wada Ayaka (Kudo) — the last one earns Kudo few whistles from Oda.

Elaborating on their choices, Kudo says she got close to Wada-san thanks to them appearing in Lilium together. Oda notes that Kudo’s and Wada-san’s feelings for each other seem mutual and Suzuki figures Wada-san must have a thing for narcissists. Kudo starts making up an excuse to prove Wada-san’s innocence, and the other two say it’s cool how Kudo is trying to protect her so desperately. Kudo wants to change the topic.

Oda says she’s noticed Suzuki really likes Takeuchi lately which Suzuki admits. She says that when they’re hanging out together, she’s just “Akari-chan” as usual. But when Suzuki is by herself watching S/mileage’s videos and stuff — “Samui ne” or “Choto Mate Kudasai!” for example — she finds her so cute she doesn’t know what to do. Kudo asks if Suzuki saw their new PV yet, and Suzuki says (or rather, screams) that she did and that Take-chan was really cute in it. Oda explains that Suzuki first took notice of Take-chan’s appeal during the final day of Lilium: after the performances had all ended, she was just backstage watching their videos when she suddenly went “…Akari-chan is cute!!!” Suzuki says she’s lately often showing S/mileage’s videos to her dad and going “Isn’t Akari-chan just so cute in this?!” Kudo suggests that Suzuki has fallen in love with Take-chan. “Love, huh…?“, ponders Suzuki.

According to Oda, her pick, Inaba Manaka from the Kenshuusei, is first and foremost just really cute. She says she, too, may have fallen in love with Manaka-chan. Manaka-chan, though, says she likes Kudo, so Oda often tries to help her out by making her and Kudo closer. Once she called Manaka-chan and Kudo in the same room and made them link their hands, and afterwards Manaka-chan approached her and said “I was so nervous, Oda-chan! Thank you!” Oda then said “but I actually like you, you know…” and Manaka-chan happily replied “then it looks like this is becoming a love triangle!” Kudo says Oda’s pretty amazing for doing all that just to be close to Manaka-chan, but Oda corrects her and says she just does it because she wants the person she likes to be happy.
