This week’s opening topic
Gaki-san’s recent favorite snack is the edamame flavor of Pretz. Meanwhile, Kame lists her favorite things at the moment: squid somen, herring roe, and doing scribblings. Gaki-san says she is not a fan of her co-host’s scribblings. Kame admits that they do, indeed, make her feel sorry for the wasted ink.

Fan mail #1: “Who is the member with the stiffest shoulders?”
While it’s debatable if she is the one who actually has the stiffest shoulders, Gaki-san is certain that Kame is at least the member who most often gets her juniors to give her shoulder rubs. Some time ago when the group were doing their Fashionable stageplay, Sayu was sleeping backstage on the sofa and Gaki-Kame were simply waiting for her to wake up. When she did, Gaki-san thought Sayu’s shoulders looked a little stiff so she gave her a bit of an impromptu shoulder rub. When Kame saw this, she complained how “you never do that kind of thing for me, yet you have no problem doing so for Sayu…“
Fan mail #2: “Summer is the season when one wants to do fireworks. So please tell us: what are your favorite kinds of fireworks?”
For Gaki-san, it’s easily senkou hanabi. While fireworks are typically known to be flashy and lively, what Gaki-san appreciates about senkou hanabi is how tranquil and understated they are. Kame, too, likes fireworks that you can hold in your hand, but she prefers the ones that change colors — she likes how exquisite those colors can be.
Fan mail #3: The listener wishes simply to congratulate Gaki-san on the announcement of her upcoming movie appearance. They promise to go see it and they wish her the best of luck with it.
In the movie, Gaki-san plays the role of a 17-year-old girl — the same age as her little sister right now. This initially made her unsure of how she should act, but she says it ended up becoming a great learning experience for her. She wishes that the show’s listeners go and check out the movie.

FIVE PLEASURES
Gaki-Kame Showdown!
Gaki-san Quiz: A while ago, Gaki-san had a photoshoot with the other 5th gen members for the goods of their upcoming event together. But while they were excitedly talking to each other about all kinds of things, Konno alone was doing something all by herself. Gaki’s question: what was it that Konno was doing?
Kame has two ideas as to what it could be, and Gaki-san permits her to state them both. Kame thinks Konno was either eating the contents of her lunch box all by herself, or doing her make-up all by herself. Gaki-san says the former is very close to the correct answer, and then Kame gets it: Konno was trying to choose which lunch box to order for herself! This is correct. While the other three were happily talking to each other, Konno suddenly disappeared. When they found her, she was flipping through the Hokka Hokka Tei menu, feverishly trying to decide what she should order for herself.
Kame Quiz: At a recent Hello! Project concert, Kame was talking about how she’d be spending more time with her little sister in the future. Kame kept her promise and she actually did something with her the very next day. Kame’s question: what was that “something”?
Gaki-san’s first guess: “you bought her ice cream.” Kame says this is wrong and immediately says Gaki-san has lost this showdown, but allows Gaki-san one more guess out of kindness. “You treated her to something,” Gaki-san says. This, too, is wrong. The correct answer? Kame invited her little sister to go out for dinner together, but it was not on her treat: Kame got their mom to pay for it. Gaki-san is not amused by this answer.
Regardless, the winner of this week’s showdown is Kame.

Gaki-san (while singing in a “musical” manner): We’re waiting for your messages! Go ahead and ask us anything, such as “when Kame is in a pinch, what item does she use to get out of it?” Anything goes!
